Self-help Core Group Meeting |

Weekly meetings are held to provide a forum for free and an open discussion of problems addressed to support individuals in becoming non-offending members of society. Meetings are held in the community as well as various institutions. Sponsorship required. |

Facilitation and oversight of both the Institutional and Street Core Groups. Conduct Taking Responsibility life skills program. Conduct the Credit and Budgeting program. |

Community Residential Facility |
|
A 41 person half-way house that provides a supportive environment for the successful reintegration of offenders into the community. Caseworkers are available 24 hrs a day, 7 days a week. Correctional Service Canada and [or Alberta Solicitor General, referrals are required and subject to acceptance. |

An eight module course that address issues regarding thinking realistically, self defeating thought patterns, job search considerations, defense mechanisms, taking responsibility for one’s actions and decisions, building positive relationships and relapse prevention strategies. Also a portion of the course focuses on credit and budgeting, including information on credit-reporting agencies, basic financial planning, and dealing with banking institutions, current rental markets and personal expenses. |

The objective of this course is to provide information about the key aspects of addiction. This is a 30 hour course that consists of 12 modules. The course includes lectures, videos, group exercises and class discussion. Using up-to- date research and seasoned concepts; this course is designed to meet the needs of the students and the objectives of the educators in an interactive way. |

The personal experiences of ex-offenders are utilized to deglamorize crime and the criminal lifestyle. The speakers are available free of charge to all groups, schools, service clubs and churches throughout Alberta. |

Volunteers play a vital role in the self-help group meetings. They offer insight into pro-social decision making skills. Our Board is composed entirely of 100%volunteers. |
